How do I add the widget?
iPhone: touch and hold your Lock Screen, tap Customize, choose Lock Screen, tap the widget area and choose Pingzi. For the Home Screen, touch and hold an empty area, tap Edit → Add Widget and search for Pingzi. Android: touch and hold your home screen, tap Widgets and add Pingzi; you can set how see-through it is in Settings.
How often does the widget change?
Choose every 5, 10, 15, 30 or 60 minutes in Settings. Your phone may occasionally delay an update by a few minutes to save battery.
Do I need an internet connection?
No. All words, sentences and stroke data are included in the app. You only need a connection to sign in, sync, or buy and restore Pro.
Do I need an account?
No. Pingzi works fully without one. Sign in with Apple, Google or email to back up your progress, personal words, Mew coins and cats, sync them between your devices, and use Pro on all of them.
The sign-in code email didn't arrive.
It can take a minute. Check your spam folder, then tap Send a new code (possible once a minute). Each code works for 10 minutes.
How do I get Pro on a new phone?
Sign in to Pingzi with the same account, or open Settings → Restore purchases while using the same Apple Account or Google Play account you bought Pro with.
Is Pingzi Pro a subscription?
No. Pro is a one-time purchase: there is nothing to cancel and nothing renews.
Can I buy Mew coins?
No. Mew coins (喵币) are earned only by learning: study sessions, daily missions, the weekly chest and streak milestones.
How do I keep my coins and cats when I change phones?
Sign in on your old phone so everything is backed up, then sign in with the same account on the new one. Without an account, coins and cats live only on that phone.
I don't get the daily reminder.
Check that notifications are allowed for Pingzi in your phone's settings, and that the reminder is on in Pingzi's Settings. When you are signed in, you get one reminder a day across all your devices, none once you reached your daily goal, and reminders pause after a week without opening the app.
How do I change the language?
Settings → Language: English or Tiếng Việt. It also sets the language of meanings and example translations.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Account → Delete account. This deletes everything stored with your account on our server. What is on your phone stays until you delete the app.
